Family-run medium-sized modern hotel a few minutes' walk from the central pedestrian core of Bolzano (also easily walkable from the train station if you don't have much luggage -- but we did). Staff are very friendly and helpful. When we asked them to order a taxi to take us to train station, they instead offered to drive us themselves! Breakfast is good, and they will also make you omelettes to order. Although I think that technically this would be considered a "3 star" level of hotel in terms of amenities, we found it very comfortable.

The entire hotel was wonderful. Our room was spacious, with a king bed, a sitting area with sofa, a kitchen and eating area, and an excellent bathroom. The public areas of the hotel were pretty and inviting, and the rooftop pool, lounge area, and spa were delightful and provided beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains. Staff members were always helpful and spoke English well. The breakfast buffet provided a wide variety of delicious choices, and we enjoyed dinner there on two evenings.

Bolzano is one of those cases that are difficult to describe without risking undermining its beauty and complexity. A witness of the conflicts and renaissance of Europe, this Italian city is the capital of the German speaking province of South Tyrol. Located in the Adige River Valley, it is surrounded by hills crowned by castles, and framed by the Dolomites Alps.
After reaching the local railway station, follow the Bahnhofsallee or Viale della Stazione and you’ll reach Walther Square, where the beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is located. The shops along the arcaded street of Via dei Portici will lead you towards the market, located in Goethe Strasse. The display of colourful vegetables and flowers encompasses the beautiful buildings, while some of the best luxury hotels in Bolzano are located nearby.
The city is famous for its Christmas Market, but be aware that most of the hotels in Bolzano get sold out quickly during this time! A stroll around the old residential quarter of Gries and a visit to the many nearby castles is a must.
Whether you arrive at the local Dolomites Airport or the larger Verona Airport, check out the Bolzano accommodation deals on Booking.com before travelling!
Fantastic city with a small town feeling. Everyone is super-friendly, it's very clean and well organised, the public transport is easy to use, runs on time and cheap. Food and the local wines are wonderful, this is a lovely place.

I highly recommend that if you visit Bolzano, you use the furnicular and go up to SopaBolzano. The ride is wonderful and you have a panoramic view. There is also a train on the top that you can go all along the top and look at the view. We had coffee and gelato at the little café at the top of the mountain. Such a relaxing, nice time. There is also very good shopping in Bolzano and restaurants. We had dinner at Paulaner Stuben—it was awesome!!

It was so much better than we expected.
It was so much better than we expected. Perfect combination between Austrian and Italian culture. You could eat schnitzels ánd pasta in almost every restaurant. Not too touristy (we went in September). Within 15 minutes you could go to the mountains by cable car for little money. The mountains (via Oberbozen for example) were very beautiful, wide and quiet. You could take a 100 year old tram in Oberbozen that went through the little villages up the mountains. 100% coming back! Tip: go by train! It was very accessible, we came from Innsbruck which is only a 2 hr train ride from Bolzano, including breathtaking views.

We loved the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology, the MMM Fermian and the victory monument. Oberon Restaurant was an outstanding Pizza place and the staff are friendly too. We stayed at the Roma Ariston Apartments' and we had a great time there. The mountains around Bolzano were super cool and we highly recommend Bolzano.

Bolzano is very beautiful.
Bolzano is very beautiful. The cathedral is simply out of the world and the little roads and side alleys are beautiful. We took a guided tour of the city and could go into mamy pretty courtyards and churches and renovated palaces...
The charming old but modern hotel with an unbeatable location (main square, close to train station and cable car station to Oberbozen) is probably the best place to stay in Bolzano. Old building, modern interior, huge rooms and beds, insane views (get a room with Walther Square view, worth the extra price) and the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered in a hotel (three receptionists, a breakfast server and cleaning lady, all very nice).
The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The staff was helpful, very friendly and welcoming. This historic hotel is located within walking distance of most of the places a tourist wants to visit and around the corner from the seilbahn going to Soprabolzano. We also received a Bolzano card which made getting around Bolzano easy and was also good for the museums and castles. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Excellent location and suite accommodation. Nick was so patient and helpful with two exhausted confused seniors when we arrived after a long stressful drive that I couldn’t praise him and his staff enough. Wonderful breakfast provided as well. Bolzano is an amazing city and area and we would highly recommended staying at the Pepper lounge and suites. A Bolzano pass is also provided.
Thank you Nick.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the very pretty town of Bolzano. The hotel's location was fantastic, really took advantage of the beautiful view and access to the 'old town'.
The staff were very friendly , food fantastic and rooms very well appointed - great time had by all.
Thank you for your lovely service
The location for this hotel was perfect. The staff was very accommodating when we had questions and the Bolzano card they provided at check in was a wonderful bonus. Having the tourist card made it so much easier when planning activities. Breakfast was also a plus with its varied local products to select.
Perfectly situated opposite the Christmas market and in the centre of Bolzano. Fantastic breakfast and contemporary modern rooms. We can highly recommend this hotel. we stayed here for 1 night and 3 nights in the Park Laurin (much more expensive) and preferred Stadt Hotel Citta by far.
Friendly staff, clean room. The hotel is located quite far from the central station and city centre but still reachable by foot and by bus. The hotel provides you with the Bolzano Card which you can use for public transportation (including trains), museums and tourist attractions.
Best option for staying in Bolzano - only hotel that is not horribly overpriced - it is only overpriced :) Lovely receptionist, clean modern room with very nice bathroom, WiFi, cupboard, spare blanket/pillow, underground parking,
I will come again .. for the 7th time I think..
La Briosa is an amazing hotel and a great base for exploring Bolzano and nearby regions. The room was simply superb, I had room to do my work with a great view of the nearby mountains, comfy beds, immaculately designed with beautiful timber and stone. And the breakfast was A+++++
Central situation in the citi center
Boutique hotel with a cachet. Ancient house, accessible from paralell street. Long corridors, plenty of stairs.
Nice personnel
Clean and modern room
Rooftop terrace with a view on Bolzano's roofs
(I did not pick the brakfast)
The hotel has that old world charm but with modern amenities. We loved the pool and garden and the summer bar. And then there is the fabulous glasshouse restaurant, Contanima. All this in the wonderful setting of Bolzano with the Dolomites nearby to be discovered!
The hotel design and appearance was unique and pleasing. The room was very comfortable and the windows were large and easy to operate. Breakfast was very good with a selection of foods to choose from. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and helpful!
The guest hotel is really close to the center of Bolzano, it is 5 minutes waling distance. It was important for us to have a parking place, we were happy that we could leave the car at a guarded place. The villa is exclusive, room is clean, not noisy.
Probably the best hotel in Bolzano. Luxury at a reasonable price (it's a top quality one). The rooms are large and I have been upgraded to a suite more than once. The atmosphere is of an old fashioned, but non worn out, European fin de siecle hotel.
Very spacious and well-equipped apartment. The location is very convenient for the centro storico as well as the main bus and train stations. The funivia of Renon is right next door.
Fabio and Anna are excellent and attentive hosts.
The staff were very polite and helpful and could speak many languages.
The location is very good for if you're staying in Bolzano.
The hotel is close to shops.
The location has good facilities like a bar and spa.

Really Wonderful...
We liked the history of the building and the location in the old town of Bolzano.
